Aaron Prager accepting a National Top App award at the Congressional App Challenge #HouseOfCode event

Every spring, district winners from across the United States gather in Washington, D.C. for #HouseOfCode — the Congressional App Challenge’s national showcase, where students demonstrate their apps to Members of Congress, staff, and industry leaders on Capitol Hill.

Aaron attended #HouseOfCode in April 2026 to demo BoostT1D. During the event, he was announced as a National Top App winner.

The Top Apps were selected from nearly 400 district-winning projects nationwide. Each student had already been recognized as a district winner by a Member of Congress, then went through a deeper national review judged on technical sophistication, creativity, and potential to solve real problems. The Top Apps represent the strongest technical work and the most meaningful real-world impact in the year’s challenge.

For Aaron, the national recognition is about the people he built the app for: everyone managing Type 1 diabetes, and every family in their first overwhelming weeks after a diagnosis.
